Terms of Service
Theo, operated by The Growth Collective Inc. Last updated: October 19, 2026.
1. The service
Theo is an AI teammate for marketing agencies, delivered through Slack and Theo Console. It produces reports, answers and drafts using the accounts and platforms your workspace explicitly connects. Theo is operated by The Growth Collective Inc., 201 Upper Post Road, Maple, Ontario, Canada ("Growth Collective", "we", "us"). By installing Theo or creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of the organization you represent, and you confirm you are authorized to do so.
2. Accounts and access
- Workspace owners control who on their team can use Theo, what each member may approve, and which platforms are connected.
- You are responsible for safeguarding access to your Slack workspace and Theo Console accounts, and for the actions taken by your authorized users.
- You may only connect accounts and data you have the right to connect.
3. Your data
You own your data. You give us the limited rights needed to process it for the sole purpose of providing the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train general-purpose AI models. When you stop using the service, data is deleted as described on our data deletion page.
4. AI outputs and human approval
- Theo's outputs are generated by AI and can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them or publishing them.
- Consequential actions (for example publishing ads or anything that spends money) require approval by an authorized member of your workspace before Theo carries them out.
- Theo's outputs are not legal, financial or professional advice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Theo to violate any law or third-party right; to send spam or deceptive content; to infringe intellectual property; to probe or disrupt the security of the service; or to violate the terms of the platforms Theo connects to on your behalf (including Slack, Meta and Google). We may suspend access that threatens the security or integrity of the service or of connected platforms, and will tell you when we do.
6. Fees
Fees, billing periods and any usage-based charges are set out in your written agreement or order form with us. Fees do not include taxes unless stated otherwise.
7. Third-party platforms
Theo depends on third-party platforms (Slack, Meta, Google, Shopify, Klaviyo, Notion and others you connect). Those platforms are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or for changes to their APIs. If a platform revokes or restricts access, the affected features may stop working until access is restored.
8. Intellectual property
We keep all rights in the service, its software and our branding. You keep all rights in your data and in the deliverables produced from your data for your use. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the service without obligation.
9. Warranties and disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that outputs will be accurate or error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Term and termination
These terms apply while you use the service. Either party may end them for a material breach that is still not fixed fourteen (14) days after written notice. You may stop using the service and ask for deletion at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue (3, 8, 9, 10 and 12) continue after termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell workspace owners about material changes in advance and post them here with a new date. If you keep using the service after the new date, you accept the changes.
